TDG/WHMIS– ½  day each

Many fatalities, critical injuries and lost-time injuries are a result of exposure to hazardous materials within the workplace and / or handling and transportation accidents. The general  public is also at risk during transportation.

Manager / Supervisor Training Seminar – 1 Day

Being too lenient can backfire.  Once you take it easy on one worker, it becomes harder to discipline others for similar infractions. But how do you discipline if you are not aware of the correct operating procedures laws and standards?

You will have the knowledge required to apply the laws and standards to your material handling environment. This seminar will give you the tools and understanding on how to differentiate between safe and unsafe acts and also rectify incorrect operating practices.

Overhead Crane / Rigging Seminar – 1 Day

Many fatalities, critical injuries and lost-time injuries are a result of lifting devices striking objects during operation, IE. racking and or product.  Employees are also injured when struck by loads that are improperly secured.

Each student will fully understand their responsibilities under the OHSA CSA B167, ANSI / ASME B30-B20 standards. Participants will acquire necessary knowledge relating to various slinging / rigging procedures and will be informed of basic principles regarding rated capacities, calculations of various sized loads and materials. Calculations of applied load angles and loss factors for slings and below the hook attachments.  (no space between the 5 lines below)

Train the Trainer / Instructor Development Training Seminar – 3-5 days

The 3 Day Seminar is designed for experienced instructors who wish to train their own operators and complies fully with all current regulations and  standards of forklifts.  Upon successful completion, one day of practical training can be done on your company premises enabling the instructor to receive full training          certification as required by the OSHA.

The 5 Day Seminar is designed for students who wish to instruct but do not have the experience required.  The program consists of 4 days classroom and one day on your own premises for the hands on practical training.

CSA B335-04 recommends that instructors training on forklift trucks have the following qualifications:

  • Recently attended a forklift operator program
  • Are WHMIS certified
  • Attended a TDG course

This program is also available for overhead cranes and aerial work platforms
